I am excited to be a founding member of Women GAIN Rwanda, a local NGO we started in order to give back to the community. The organization has a mission to promote the participation of women in leadership and gender equality activism through trainings on leadership politics, democracy, human rights, and policy advocacy. Through this new organization, the Intwari Women program will be sustained and more other projects to teach and support vulnerable women in our community.
I have learnt that starting and sustaining an NGO needs a lot of work and resources for daily operations and management. Currently, my group is facing some challenges on the ground.The hardest part of it is securing grants and funding to kickstart Women GAIN Rwanda's initial activities.
During the first year of operations as a NGO we want to raise $ 18,000. As part of this effort, I am Personally committed to raise $1000 to contribute to the Women's Leadership Workshop for 40 women as one of the first year projects. Every donation whether it’s $10, $20, $30, $50, $100, or more, directly supports these women in transforming their leadership journey.
